Aaron Graham





As an actor, singer and improvisor, Aaron Graham has appeared in countless stage productions, festivals, films, industrials and commercials throughout his career.

Originally from Deerfield, Illinois, Aaron earned his B.A. from Cornell University. While at Cornell, he played first trumpet with the Cornell University Wind Ensemble and sang with the men of Last Call, one of the nation's best collegiate a cappella groups (ICCA championship finalists).

In recent years, Aaron has worked at various established theater companies such as Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Riverside Theatre (Iowa), Steppenwolf, TimeLine, Remy Bumppo, Porchlight, and Second City Theatricals. In March 2005, Aaron received rave reviews for his portrayal of Dr. Mendel in Falsettos, directed by Steve Scott and part of Porchlight Music Theatre's William Finn Festival. In 2007, Aaron returned to the Porchlight stage as Tateh in their highly-acclaimed production of Ragtime, earning the Joseph Jefferson Award for Actor in a Supporting Role - Musical.

Aaron has also been a regular at Pegasus Players Theatre, where he played Franz, Mr. and Billy Webster in Sunday in the Park with George (Jeff Citation: Best Production - Musical), and later returned to perform Chubby Waters in Broadway Bound and Comptroller Schub in Anyone Can Whistle. Other companies with which Aaron has worked include Northlight Theatre, Emerald City Theatre, Open Eye Productions, Theatre Building Chicago, BackStage Theatre and LID Productions. In addition to doing scripted work, Aaron has studied, performed and taught improvisation for over nine years. A graduate of The Second City Conservatory and the ImprovOlympic Training Center, he has performed with groups like the independent long-form team Dually Noted (coached by "SNL" writer John Lutz) and musical theatre improvisation ensembles Jazz Hands Across America, Baby Wants Candy and The Second City's Musical Improv House Ensemble. Aaron currently teaches music improv at The Second City Training Center in Chicago.

When not performing, Aaron enjoys doing all kinds of writing. He is currently at work on several projects, including a play, a one man show, and a new science fiction-themed musical. Check back for updates.

In 2008, he founded the Chicago Actors Lounge, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Chicago's professional actors and performing artists.

Aaron directs Listen, Kid, playing at Donny's Skybox, Saturdays at 7:30pm from Dec. 6th to Jan. 3rd. This hilarious parody of "Free To Be..." was written by Peter Gwinn and Steph McCullough.
